I thought saturated fats were unhealthy?
Virgin coconut oil is a Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT) oil, with many unique health properties which distinguish virgin coconut oil from the saturated fats found in meat and vegetable oils. MCT’s promote good health and have many amazing health properties.
Several studies on coconut oil have indicated that the MCT’s have antibiotic and other beneficial health properties. The MCT’s found in virgin coconut oil are rapidly absorbed in the digestive system, carried by the portal vein to the liver and then oxidised, thereby producing energy rapidly.

What is the difference between Coconoil Original and Coconoil Organic?
Coconoil Original is a pure form of virgin coconut oil that has not been hydrogenated, bleached, refined or deodorised. It is produced using the finest coconut palms on the west coast of Sri Lanka, which are grown using traditional farming methods with no pesticides. The coconuts for Coconoil Original are grown on smaller local coconut farms and then sourced on the general coconut market in Sri Lanka.
Coconoil Organic has organic certification from three separate bodies: Soil Association, USDA Organic and Control Union Certifications. Produced from the pick of the palms in Sri Lanka, Coconoil Organic is the worlds finest organic virgin coconut oil. How do I store virgin coconut oil and how long will it last?
Virgin Coconut Oil is best stored out of direct sunlight in a cool dry place.
Virgin Coconut Oil in cooler temperatures is usually in a solid form but becomes liquid between 18°C and 24°C. The properties of the oil are not affected during the transition from solid to liquid to solid.
Virgin coconut oil has an extremely long shelf life, although we always recommend that our customers should use their oil within two years of the best before date to ensure that they get the best of the natural goodness.
